All projects, in detail

Everything I've built: research, apps, and engineering projects, with the full story behind each one.

NASA Aviation Systems Division: Concept Design Experience

Co-authored a NASA Technical Memorandum on a multi-tier autonomous wildfire-detection architecture integrating drones, edge AI, and remote sensing. Published as NASA/TM-20260007959.

Autonomous SystemsEdge AIRemote Sensing
  • Designed a multi-tier autonomous system for early wildfire detection, integrating edge AI, remote sensing, and geospatial data to improve wildfire monitoring in remote areas.

  • Co-authored a technical manuscript on a scalable wildfire detection system, approved as a NASA Technical Memorandum on the NASA Technical Reports Server (NTRS 20260007959).

Geospatial AI Researcher: Independent Research with NCSU Faculty

Independent geospatial AI research with NC State faculty improving wildfire burn-area mapping from satellite imagery.

Machine LearningGeospatialPython
  • Conduct independent geospatial AI research with NC State faculty and a Ph.D. researcher to improve wildfire burn-area mapping.

  • Evaluate AI models using satellite imagery and the CaBuAr dataset, investigating which approaches are most effective for identifying areas affected by wildfires.

  • First-authored research presented at the AIPR (Applied Imagery Pattern Recognition) 2026 Workshop in Washington, DC. The presentation was successfully delivered, and the full paper has since been submitted to the workshop proceedings.

MIT Beaver Works Summer Institute (BWSI)

AI/ML project classifying Parkinson's-related tremors from wearable sensor data using Random Forest, XGBoost, CNN, and LSTM models.

Machine LearningHealth AITime Series
  • Selected for MIT's competitive Beaver Works Summer Institute, a rigorous project-based STEM program.

  • Tested machine-learning models to classify Parkinson's-related tremor patterns from wearable sensor data.

  • Explored whether tremor patterns could help distinguish Parkinson's from other neurodegenerative disorders.

  • Evaluated Random Forest, Logistic Regression, XGBoost, CNN, and LSTM models, analyzing tremor frequency and model performance.

Guided Projects: Neuroscience & AI with UW-Madison Faculty

Faculty-guided projects exploring neuroscience and AI, from how brain cells process information to neural networks, ML, and agentic AI systems.

NeuroscienceAIPython
  • Completed guided projects under University of Wisconsin-Madison faculty exploring neuroscience and AI.

  • Modeled how brain cells process information, and explored neural networks, machine learning, agentic AI, and emerging intelligent systems.

  • Built and evaluated models in Python/scikit-learn, exploring how principles from the brain can help develop intelligent systems.

Drone-Based Retail Delivery Research

Predictive modeling research on drone-based retail delivery through NC State's Online Research Academy.

Predictive ModelingResearchNC State
  • Conducted a research project through NC State University's Online Research Academy on predictive modeling for drone-based retail delivery.

  • Built and evaluated models exploring the feasibility and optimization of drone delivery logistics.

  • Also served as a student ambassador promoting ORA programs across platforms and communities.

Technovation Girls: Global Competitor & Ambassador

Five seasons of mobile and web apps for the global Technovation Girls challenge, from allergy safety to sustainability, plus a Global Student Ambassador role.

MobileWeb AppsProduct
  • Represented Technovation Girls as a Global Student Ambassador, collaborating with 100+ girls through STEM outreach and mentorship and encouraging younger students to explore technology and entrepreneurship.

  • Allergy Shield (2022): Designed and built a mobile app for the Technovation Girls Global App Challenge focused on allergy safety. Users scan product labels and instantly see flagged risky ingredients based on their allergy profile, with approachable UX so families and children can rely on it for everyday choices. The project advanced to Semi Finalist in the 2022 season.

  • CarePal (2023): Built a mobile app addressing caregiving challenges and improving access to support and resources.

  • EMPOW-HER (2024): Built a mobile app addressing challenges faced by women through a tech-driven solution.

  • Financial Literacy (2025): Developed an app to promote financial literacy and improve financial decision-making.

  • Recycle Wizard (2026): Built a web app promoting sustainability by helping users identify recyclable materials and make informed disposal decisions.
